Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi has restated his commitment to supporting the good work of Imo State Governor Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, through the attraction of people oriented developmental projects to communities in Owerri Zone.

The Senator made this pledge during the commissioning of a fully furnished civic centre he built for Nguru Umuaro Community,in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area.

Senator Onyewuchi noted that the governor has done wonderfully well in delivering good governance to the state, especially in road construction, pointing out that he had made many hitherto unmotorable roads in the state to be motorable today.

He stressed that the massive roads construction has tremendously improved connectivity within the state, as urban areas and communities were now easily accessible. He further highlighted that he derives joy serving God and humanity, pointing out that this was why he was going around intervening in different sectors.

Senator Onyewuchi emphasized that he built the civic hall based on the demand of the community and in furtherance of his apprectiion of Ngor Okpala people for the unconditional support they gave him in 2023. He noted that the civic hall was a promise fulfilled, adding that it was not just a mere hall, but a unifying edifice, where issues of development and progress of the community would be discussed, and called for its proper maintenance.

Earlier, the president General of the community, had disclosed that the civic hall was the first notable dividend of democracy to enter the community under this republic, promising that it would be properly maintained.

Hon Kizito Onuoha, Vice Chairman Ngor Okpala LGA, stated that the lawmaker has executed one project or another in almost all communities in the LGA, which has made them proud of him and his track record of excellent performance. Okenze Sylvester Obinna in his contribution said the lawmaker has left an indelible footprint in the community with the project. Hon Obinna Egu, representing Ngor Okpala State constituency in Imo House of Assembly, noted that not all those voted into offices come back after winning to thank those who gave them mandate, pointing out that Senator Onyewuchi is one leader who has sustained that culture, as he has regularly returned to the LGA with projects to thank them for supporting him.

Chief Justus Oguh,Chairman of APC in OwerriZone, in his speech lauded the lawmaker for his continuous demonstration of effective leadership, with continuous interventions in progress and projects across the zone. HRH Dr Eme Njoku, traditional ruler of Nguru Umuaro/ Umuowa Autonomous Community, said the community and Ngor Okpala would continue to remember Senator Onyewuchi in prayers for always remembering them with project.

Hon Bede Ekeh Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, in a vote of thanks, stressed that God has led the lawmaker thus far in his political journey, and urged him to hold fast to Him.
