The senator representing Imo East Senatorial District, Ezenwa Onyewuchi joined chairmen and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to receive Hon Darlington Amaech, the 2023 Labour Party Candidate for Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency, into the ruling party.
Amaech who is a businessman and former banker was received at Okpofe/Ezebogu ward 3 in Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA in a ceremony that took place on October 1st, 2025.
Senator Onyewuchi who is also the Chairman Senate Committee on National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) was on ground to receive him.
The event was attended by prominent party leaders, including the Zonal Chairman, Chief Justus Oguh, the Executive Chairman of Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, Hon Chinedu Nwachukwu, the House of Assembly member representing Ezinihitte Mbaise, Hon Chief Dr Henry Agbasonu, Hon Frank Adindu the APC LGA Chairman, High Chief Dr Summers VC Nwokie (Ikukuoma), Hon Chief FS Onyeberechi and other members of the party
Speaking at the event Hon Darlington praised the giant strides of the governor Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma and Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi and pledged his unalloyed support and loyalty to the party and the governor.
